Would RecommendIt did the job. It was nearly impossible to find and when I did find it, I had to have it unlocked and walked to the register to pay for it. Would not have been a problem except Lowe's does not have nearly enough employees.

excellent product. Easy to use. Gave no false positives. Caught all the hot wires. You need to be pretty close to get a hit on the hot wire. I once had a similar device which increased the beep as the device got closer. Haven't seen one of those for a while.

Would Not RecommendMany of these Klein units are subject to massive international recalls due to a fatal flaw: UNIT GIVES FALSE NEGATIVE EVEN IN PRESENCE OF HIGH VOLTAGE! DO NOT BUY! I’ve purchased two and both were defective right out of the package. They indicate no voltage is present even when tested on hot 480v line! Do Not Buy!

Would RecommendI got this while hanging some lighting in the basement. I wasn't sure I needed it if I turned the breaker off, but it ended up being useful for troubleshooting. I was able to figure out which item in my circut was not getting power when the lights went out. I was able to replace the switch and restore the circuit due to the tool working well.
