What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise this brush cleaner for restoring heavily painted brushes, particularly those caked with oil-based paints and varnishes, bringing them to near-new condition and extending usable life. Most report exceptional results after overnight soaking, with many describing rescued expensive brushes as "like new" and "pliable as when new." Many also confirm strong effectiveness on latex paint as a final cleaning step. Some note a strong chemical odor requiring outdoor use, and a few mention it does not work on acrylic paint. Despite minor limitations, most consider it a worthwhile investment for saving brushes.

It works
Would RecommendIt worked well. I had a 2 inch brush used for poly that I didn't adequately clean. It was mostly stiff, barely pliable. I put about 4 oz of this stuff in a glass jar, stuck the brush in, started working the bristles on the jar bottom. Within 10 seconds, it was basically as pliable as it was when new. It's good stuff!

Did not work
Would Not RecommendIt softened the dried paint and after using the comb it seemed to have worked but even after following directions and using the comb, it did not remove all of the dried paint. Once it was rinsed properly and dried on its own. It was just as stiff as it was before. When you pulled back the bristles a bit, you could see the dried paint was solidified again just as if it had never been treated. It did not take care of the issue and due to the toxicity of the product it was not worth using as it did...
