What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise this dishwasher for its exceptional quietness and superior cleaning performance. The near-silent operation is the most frequently highlighted strength, with reviewers noting they can barely hear it running. Dishes consistently come out sparkling clean, often outperforming previous models. The third rack for utensils is widely appreciated as a thoughtful design feature. A small number of customers report serious reliability issues including control panel failures and rusting, though these concerns remain isolated. Overall, most customers consider this dishwasher an excellent investment.
Customer review summary generated by AI, including incentivized reviews. This dishwasher was delivered and installed January 2025. Purchased Kitchen Aid based on reputation of Brand. June 2026 the start button stopped working. Called repairman, found that half button on panel were not working. In order to fix, need to order entire front panel at a cost of $300. Kitchen Aid would not cover even a portion of the cost because it was over the 1 year warranty. Spent many hours on phone on hold with promise of call back. No return call. Went on Chat, was told they st...

Meets or exceeded expectations
Would Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have an open concept kitchen and living area and the dishwasher is quiet enough where we have no issues watching television. The dishes always come out spotless. The third rack is very useful. The top controls can be finicky when loading and unloading the machine but not an insurmountable issue.

KitchenAid - it's not a Bosch or Miele
Would Not Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our KitchenAid dishwasher came with our new home. In our last home, we bought a very similar KitchenAid which lasted 3 years. I don't expect much from this. So far, so good after three months, but the racks tend to be poorly made. It uses ancient heating element technology. If a Bosch or Miele become available at a good sales price, I'll make the change.

Nothing Special
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It does the job but nothing special. Wash cycle very long and doesn't hold as much as the much cheaper Frigidaire it replaced, although much quieter.

Great except controls’ location.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It’s a great dishwasher! My only complaint is that the controls are on the top of the door. Every time I open or close I touch the Drain button! Then I have to cancel it. I suppose I’ll get used to it. My other Bosch had the controls on the outside of the door.

Love my Kitchenaid dishwasher!
Would Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We absolutely LOVE our dishwasher! The first time I ran the dishwasher, I had to go right up to it to hear if it was running. It is incredibly quiet. The third rack and additional sprayer are great. We have an area to place larger utensils and knives now without sacrificing area needed for other top rack items The stainless interior is so much nicer than the plastic our old dishwasher had. Everything about this dishwasher is great!

No way to get into CS, Not the best for Cleaning
Would Not RecommendI called support about 4 months ago and just got someone who wanted to charge me to send someone to repair. The response to my review here on 6/17/26 was useless. It was long, but when I call the number there is no way to talk to a CS person, only order filling or repair. This machine has needed fixing since I got it 30 months ago. It still has problems draining and the beeping is non stop at the end of a cycle because it is not draining properly. Sometimes it works, but then it does not. I have...

A couple tips...
Would RecommendWe bought this model a couple years ago and it's great -- quiet, cleans well, etc. Good value. Our electricity to the house tends to spike and one time this caused the electronics on the operation panel to falter. The instruction book said to check the circuit breaker, which we did and the circuit breaker had NOT tripped. However, we learned to do a "hard reset" by turning the circuit breaker off and letting it stay off for about 10 minutes. Worked great after that. Also, the service man sugge...
Inoperable 13 months after install
Would Not RecommendThis dishwasher is now inoperable after 13 months of light use (it's just my wife and I in our house). Called Whirlpool to get service - they want to charge me $400 to come fix it!! Feel like I have been ripped off. Getting a bit fed up with Lowes at the same time. Going to start buying from local folks - not large chains.

Whisper Queit
Would Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As part of a total kitchen renovation, we purchased this Kitchenaid dishwasher. It has a greater amount of space and the adjustable upper rack opens up the bottom for large pots. Did I mention how quiet it is? 100% pleased and highly recommend this one.

We like it!
Would Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We only had it a week, but it seams to be a great machine. the quick wash cycle could be shorter and the kick plate on the bottom could be longer so it reaches and covers the counter molding on each side. The door could be wider so it covers the entire opening of were the dish washer is pushed into the counter. We love how quiet it is, and how easy it is to clean the filter and how it dryes so much better than our other one. g h

Disappointing
Would Not Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We were not able to look at this dishwasher before it was included in our new home. Had we been able to see it in person, we never would have selected it. The immovable tines are positioned at distances that make it very difficult to easily or securely load casserole dishes, mixing bowls or pots.

Good cleaning
Would Not Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was the dishwasher that was installed in my brand new home at time of purchase-while it cleans very well I am very disappointed in the rack design-no way to adjust size of spacing, etc., though the upper does go up and down to allow for stem wear, but stemware does not fit very well in it as it tips over sideways a lot huge spacing in the lower rack makes the middle section almost unusable

Not happy
Would Not RecommendIt's quiet and pretty, but it aggravates me in several ways. Unlike every other dishwasher I've had in 50 years, everything is wet when the cycle is done, so I have to towel dry everything. The silverware caddy on the side isn't convenient to load and unload. My steak knives and forks often get stuck in the holes of the caddy. The top rack is laid out strangely, so I have trouble filling it without wasting a lot of space. The spaces between the rungs/crosspieces are too wide, so I have a lot of ...

Okay but not great
Would Not Recommend[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought it on line as there was not the exact model at the store. My sister had bought one recently that I thought was similar except for the upgrade in color. There bottom rack has an abyss or gap between the front and back times that the dishes are loaded in between. It is like an unusable dead zone. My sister doesn’t use her new dishwasher much do we switched her bottom rack for mine and now we are both happier. I do not understand the ...
