Hot Garbage - Terrible Design

Bought this as a replacement for our 20yr old dishwasher because we wanted something quiet. It’s quiet, and that’s the end of the positives. The middle rack design is inherently flawed—the bowls section specifically. There are three under support bars and the middle one is elevated, creating a triangular roof shape upon which you are expected to set the bowls. Can not provide warrabty parts in a timely manner

Had the dishwasher for a month and used it 2-3 times and then it stopped working mid wash cycle. Repair tech was sent out and said a pump, switch, and control board needed to be ordered. Pump and switch cam out and tech came back out to install but said no go since the control board is still needed. Tech said control board will be another 10 days even though KitchenAid said they would expedite the control board. Will not be able to use the dishwasher for over a month.

Barely hear it running

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] it is extremely quite, and the dishes come out clean. Capacity is great, having the 3rd rack for cups and larger utensils comes in handy. The dishes come out dry, something that our previous dishwasher lacked. It does have a filter and our previous dishwasher did not, so we will have to see on this aspect of it. We looked at the next upgrade on the dishwasher without the filter, but it rated a little higher on the decibel level. The two down...

I've only done one load on Normal, but two items did not get clean. And the spacing of the racks doesn't accommodate as many dishes as my old dishwasher. And I'm wondering about your math of showing 84% approval of this model. You use 335 as total responses when the total is 418, which would lower the approval rating to 60%. People grading the dishwasher with four or less starts totals 136 which is about 40% grading below the five stars.

Thanks for configuring so that our bowls (lots of bowls) fit VERY WELL. CLEANING: Does a fine job. I scrape but never rinse the dirty dishes. DRYING: Wow! Even my plastic leftover containers are dry. This is a FIRST! I use a clean towel to quickly swipe out the bottom of my coffee cups, wait a minute, then unload. FILTRATION: We were told it has "automatic" filtrat...

Very quiet dishwasher

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a very quiet dishwasher with great capacity. It was a replacement for a KitchenAid dishwasher that lasted 29 years with no issues. We have had it for several months, and it seems to be working well. The only thing I don't like is that it is a bit touchy and often peeps when you get close to it or go to open it. Probably would have gotten the buttons hidden on the top, rather than in the front had I known this. We didn't have this issue ...

Some Helpful Suggestions

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We are mostly happy with our dishwasher, however it should have come with a manual as I have many questions about which cycle to choose, how to load most efficiently, etc. But it did not come with a manual. Also, they advise to turn the spray arms to make sure nothing is touching or in the way, but my (small) hands do not fit in there to spin them! There should be adequate room to test this before each load!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the 3rd, top shelf. It cleans so much better than our previous dishwasher which was also a KitchenAid. It is so quiet, very nice. The silverware compartment seems to be smaller than previous dishwasher. We were always running out of space.

Quiet

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like this dishwasher it is quiet. It cleans the dishes well. The capacity is ok. The third and middle rack are a bit confusing when loading the dishwasher such as what fits and what does not fit. It dries very well.

KitchenAid Appliance

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The KITCHENAID dishwasher cleans very well with a minimum of detergent,very quiet and heats the dishes dry. I appreciate the Third drawer because the cutting board can be kept clean.Also the door opens automatically upon completion of the wash cycle.THE STAINLESS steel door always looks clean and polished. The interior stainless steel always shines .The filter is easily accessible for cleaning.

Best dishwasher I've ever owned

Would not suggest

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought less than months ago……control panel went out about a month ago and it STILL OUT with no sign Of when it will be fixed or replaced. Service guy came out and wasted half of my day to walk away with NOTHING fixed.

KitchenAid Dishwasher

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Dishwasher is quiet, with plenty of capacity and looks good. The only issues are stacking the dishes. The racks don't seem to fit normal dish shapes and sizes. It seems to take an extreme amount of time if any other cycle besides quick wash is used. We do like the silver ware rack and the auto door feature.
