Would RecommendI used this bit to drill holes through the bottom of the cabinet above my stove for self-aligning screws to hold a microwave oven. The bit did the job and had no issues mounting the microwave.

Not sharp enough
Would Not RecommendIt went dull on the second hole and it didn’t make a perfect hole. It tore at the wood and it isn’t a perfect circle. I need to get better ones. It’s only a pine fence I’m using it on.

Great!
Would RecommendThis bit beat out the same brand - and more expensive - IRWIN SPEEDBOR 1-1/4-in Woodboring Tri-flute Drill Bit by quite a bit, drilling through 30-year old 2x10 pine basement ceiling joists. Much faster going and a lot less kickback. The design of these looks a little unconventional - these don't have the typical "devil horns" at each end, yet they perform very well indeed. And as a result, they just might last longer too.

Maybe it's just me, because I searched the web for a solution and didn't even see the problem mentioned. Not the greatest all-around bit in the world, but it does one thing well t...

Good for the price
Would RecommendPurchased this product to drill holes to create shipping fixtures. Worked very well until I hit a knot in a pine board and a crack formed at the shoulder between the point and cutting shoulder. Wish this was covered under warranty as it was still fairly new, but at least a new one is reasonably priced.
