Ratings & Reviews for IRWIN 1/4-in Hex Quick Connect 12-in Drill Bit Extension
Ratings may include incentivized customer reviews.
What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise this drill bit extender for its secure bit retention, reliability, and ability to reach difficult drilling locations. The dual set screws firmly lock bits in place, preventing slipping during impact driving or deep drilling up to ten inches or more. Reviewers highlight its effectiveness in previously inaccessible areas—through thick walls, concrete, and multi-layered materials—with many using multiple extenders end-to-end to achieve five-foot lengths. The sturdy, balanced construction resists twisting under load, and the beveled back end aids tool removal. A few users report occasional set screw issues, but most consider this an indispensable solution for challenging installations.

Needs thread locker.
Would RecommendIt worked well but the set screws frequently worked their way out (to be lost) and had to be replaced. Thread locker helped.
