What Customers Are Saying
The product features a tri-flute design that allows for efficient and quick drilling through various types of wood. Many users praise its speed and ability to create clean, straight holes. However, some report issues with durability, especially with the smaller 1/4-inch shanks, noting the bits can dull or break prematurely. There are also concerns about potential splintering or damage on the backside of the wood due to the aggressive cutting action. Overall, the product seems suitable for many woodworking tasks, but users should pair it with a powerful drill to get the best results, and the 3/8-inch shank versions are preferred for more demanding applications.

Would RecommendI used my Milwaukee battery 18 volt 1/2 inch Hammer Drill used drill only in control mode 1 not high speed also used the hand hold bar installed, but it was hardly needed as little twisting occured. Irwin speedbor cut through a old hard 2x4 with no splinters on exit as seen in my pictures it cut quickly with just a firm pushing with no binding of the tool.
So far, so good 😊
Would RecommendI needed this for drilling through framing in wall to run low voltage wiring. My first use was with DeWalt DCD805B to drill through two stacked framing 2x4s. Like butter. I can't speak to durability, I will rarely need it, but worked great for me out of the box.

Quick holes for H-Brace poles
Would RecommendEasy to use, especially clearing wood shavings from the holes.
In wet treated wood reverse and remove shavings
Very agressive bit. Requires a powerful drill.
I can dig it!
Would RecommendUsed to drill holes in 6x6 posts. Cut through them like butter!
Nice Bit
Would RecommendEasy to use, works well
If you want to work smarter, not harder, get one
Would RecommendI am running power in my shed and I was using a spade bit, which wasn't working all that well. A friend suggested I use a auger bit. I am glad I did. This thing cuts through 2x4s like butter. What a great investment.
Great for drilling stumps
Would RecommendI drilled 8 holes in stumps. It is almost too good. It bites and really digs in fast. Just keep pulling out to clean the hole. Still sharp. Some larger stumps may need a longer bit versus this 6 inch bit.
Quick
Would RecommendVery quick, stayed sharp, even after doing about 30 holes
Medium quality.
Would Not RecommendSharp Bit
The drill bit works well with a handheld, 12V, drill driver.
Dulled quickly
Would Not RecommendDulled quickly.
