I give it 4 1/2 stars. Love the bit. It’s self tapping tip helps to pull the bit into the material you are boring through. I only thing I don’t like is this, if it hits a hidden nail or screw, it will mess up the bit.

I use it with my Milescraft Drillmate. It bores the 4x4 treated posts with ease and accuracy. The price offered by Lowe's is reasonable and the quality of this drill bit is very good.

Great bit

Purchased for drilling 3/4" through holes for dowels, and to countersink 1/4" lag screws. Quickly and efficiently removes material and the threaded tip makes exact positioning simple.

This is by far the best drill bit to use for wood.

Broke Day 1

Purchased one today to drill stumps. The bit broke off on the 4th stump. Probably drilled fewer than 20 holes total. Would have hoped for more.
