What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise this drill bit for delivering smooth, flat-bottomed holes with minimal tear-out across wood, plywood, and plastic. Most highlight exceptional cutting precision and clean edges requiring no sanding, especially in hardwoods like maple and oak. Reviewers consistently note sharp performance right out of the box and reliable results for both one-time and repeated projects. Many appreciate the strong value for occasional to moderate use. A few report the bit dulls faster under heavy use or mention round shank slippage in some chucks, though these concerns remain isolated. Overall, customers strongly recommend it for woodworking projects.

Would RecommendWorks quickly & makes a nice clean hole that's flat at the bottom. Functioned beautifully for adding Pullman balances to replace the old pulleys & counter-weights in mom's beautiful old windows.

Good bit for the price
Would RecommendLike I said a good bit for the price. It may not be the best bit but your not paying for a high dollar German made one. considering you may only use it for a few holes and as long as it is used in wood (or in my case plastic) it will do the job. I like using a forstner over a spade type for a clean and precise hole. Great for deep holes where you will be inserting dowels for furniture projects or for hinges. Best used in a drill press to get maximum precision. Avoid a lot of pressure if breaking...

1” holes
Would RecommendSolid, sharp drill that creates a smooth hole. Only one design shortcoming, the round mounting post should really have some plane faces for securing it in a chuck.

Useless bit
Would Not RecommendThis bit has a round shank, without any facets. Trying to drill some 1/2" deep holes in alder. After three holes, the bit just spins out of the drillpress chuck. Waste of money
It doesn't cut a flat bottom
Would Not RecommendThe cutting spurs along the outer edge cut deeper than the remainder of the inner area therefore the bottom of the hole isn't flat.
Countersink
Would RecommendI bought this to use to countersink a nut on the back of a wall hanging so it would be flush with the wall. I was using a DeWalt cordless 20v max drill. It worked perfectly. It didn't grab the wood and draw me into it like an auger would. It kept itself level and did exactly what I wanted.
