What Customers Are Saying
This set of Forstner bits generally performs well for most woodworking projects, producing clean, smooth holes, especially when used with a drill press. The wide range of bit sizes is a key benefit. However, some customers reported quality issues like dull or damaged cutting edges, as well as challenges using the bits in a handheld drill. Overall, this is a reasonably priced and functional set suitable for hobbyist and DIY use, but may not meet the needs of professional or heavy-duty users.

Would Not RecommendEach bit worked great 1 time for one hole. After that most of the teeth chipped off in the cedar and ash wood i was working with. Turned into a nightmare trying to get it starter after the first hole. Then the cutting blades dulled after 3-4 holes. I should have just bought something of higher-quality made out of stronger metal. I Am Disappointed in my purchase!
Versatile set at a really good price
Would RecommendA wide range of sizes to tackle all types of jobs. I needed a specific bit for a woodworking project with my daughter. Just seemed to be a good investment to purchase a set that is extremely versatile and comes in its own storage case.

Great value for the price but .020 undersized
Would RecommendThey cut well and cut clean but .020 - .030 under sized my 3/4 or .750 is really .730 They are worth the price and work very well but the machining isn't very precise

Work as expected.
Bought these to assist in my hobby of making turkey calls. Use them to drill the trough of the box calls I make. They have been very helpful.

Great Set
Would RecommendMy wife was having me work on a wood project for her that needed a hole drilled in it about the size of several rolls of vinyl for her Cricut. I used my hole saw on a test piece and she didn't like how rough it was. I didn't either and my sander paper would get shredded. I bought these forstner bits and made quick work! I wish I would have bought these sooner. They are good quality, right sizes, and work really well!
Don't have them shipped
Would Not RecommendThe bits seem fine but the plastic container they come in is cracked and broken.

Bits wont get held in drill
Would Not RecommendI put the bits in 2 different drills and tightened it down, they wont get gripped in the drill and when under pressure they will stop spinning, the chuck has nothing to grab onto, will return them.
Offers a diverse range of options
Would RecommendExcellent quality, continue to stay sharp after boring 12 4”x4” posts.
Hanson Forstner 14-Piece 3/8-in Woodboring Forstne
Would RecommendThe product is what I expected from quality to the case. I did immediately begin to use it and I need a better drill for heavy duty work. I don't however have anything to compare it to.
