What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise these locking pliers for exceptional grip strength and reliable clamping performance, with most highlighting their ability to lock firmly on stripped screws, rusted nuts, and irregular surfaces where other tools fail. Reviewers consistently emphasize durable, heavy-duty construction and solid feel, with many noting they've used these tools for decades. The needle-nose and long-nose variants are frequently commended for accessing tight, confined spaces like behind sinks or on modern equipment. A few customers report inconsistent quality or small handles for larger hands, but overall, most consider these indispensable tools for both professional and DIY work.

Would RecommendI had a needle nose version that wasn't working for me. I use these only for stripped screws that are phiilips and somehow got mangled so i can clamp on an remove the screw, if even possible. Haven't really had to use it yet. Weight is acceptable.

Needle nose vise grips
Would RecommendWork great in hard to reach areas.
Perfect tool for those tight spaces
Would RecommendThis was the perfect tool to grasp a hot water faucet stem and at the same time not destroy the flared end. This product served as a faucet until we found the correct stem and faucet.

Poor quality
Would Not RecommendI expected a quality product from Irwin but Vise Grips aren't what they used to be. These feel much poorer in quality than another pair of original Vise Grips that I purchased long ago. The anvils on these do not align (see picture). I have contacted Irwin, using the form at their website. No response to the form or to a follow up inquiry. Because the anvils don't align the grip on the object is poor and the Vise Grips pop off.
