The remote receiver did not work. I had to purchase a universal receiver and remote in order to make the fan functional. Also the wiring was too short to use with the extension rod.

When did Hunter start to suck?
Would Not RecommendI bought this fan 8/4/2024. The light kit started arching and you can't find the kit anywhere for purchase. While it is supposed to be covered under warranty - good luck in getting that to happen. I will NOT being buying another Hunter to replace this. I'd prefer to not have an electrical fire.

Would Not Recommendproduct description states it's whisper quiet, what it doesn't say is that's only for about the first 6 months and then it makes quite a loud motor hum noise. I have 2 of these fans and am actively researching replacements. Do not waste your money.
No Guarantees You Will Get a Working 2025 Fan
Would Not RecommendThis Hunter fan did not work. We even hired an electrician to check it (at our expense). It, definitely, has a problem! We will have to return it back to Lowes. We ordered it online and the store does not carry it. Also, we purchased it in July 2025, but it was manufactured in 2022. Lowes said they cannot guarantee what year of fan you will get when you order it...what is with that? We are NOT happy with this purchase.

Would Not RecommendExperienced handyman with basic electrical knowledge and installation of basic electrical items. Directions were vague, to the point of resorting to common knowledge of ceiling fan installs & google research. Would Not RecommendThis fan was pretty easy to install, looks nice, and moves a lot of air. But I wouldn't buy it again just because of the remote. You can't change the direction of the blades using the remote. You have to remove the glass covering the light to switch the blade direction. You can't dim the light. It's either on or off. I'm getting ready to buy a ceiling fan for another room and will choose one with a more useful remote.

Not Easy to REVERSE Air Flow
Would Not RecommendHunter makes a great product and I bought this fan based on the information on the box: "fan has a remote and air flow is reversable" !! Yes, it is reverseable and, yes, it does have a remote. HOWEVER, which engineer would but the reverse button on the fan motor behind the glass light shield and NOT place the reverse button on the remote ??!!?!?!! Must remove the glass cover (easily done), flip switch, glass cover on; then do it again to reverse air flow. BTW, don't forget the ladder ! grrr...
