Would Not RecommendI was stunned at the performance of these mounts. It got rid of the wobble from the ceiling fan and far exceeded the normal joist brace mount. Highly recommended.

Would RecommendI love this style of mounting box. It feels much more sturdy than the other styles of mounting boxes. Just be aware that because of its u shaped design, there is slightly less space for tucking wires. Easy fix with smaller wire nuts.

Would RecommendFound the ceiling joist, cut a hole, inserted the box, screwed in the small screw, two heavy mounting screws go thru the box into the just to hang the fan bracket. DONE!
