Would RecommendThe ceiling fan bracket is easy to install and is very strong when installed correctly. I wouldn't use it for chin ups but it will easily support a ceiling fan.

This box is awesome you just cut 4-0 hole and you can slip the crossbar through the hole and twist it against the joists and then the box can be mounted to the crossbar so there's no need to get in the attic to brace the box before you install a ceiling fan...
