I knew nothing about texture, Tried applying orange peel with brush; sponge... this is the best option for the DIY going room by room (4-6 cans per 10x10 room)

Pro grade is better than the standard spray

I used the Homax Pro Grade water-based texture spray. The pro grade texture spray has an additional pressure control on the nozzle that makes it much better than the standard grade can. It made it possible get consistently fine texture, which I could not get with the standard grade can. I was very happy with this product.

Buy more than one can if doing larger jobs.

The texture finish looks great on the bathroom ceiling I applied it too but the coverage listed on the can is not true.

Does NOT look like knockdown after it dries.

This looks nothing like knockdown texture once it is sprayed and dried. It looks identical to the spray for orange peel texture.

Don’t buy this.

Not worth buying. It stop working and would not spray after just starting to use it.

Shake shake shake

Worked better than the cheaper non-professional can version. Does an ok job. Just remember to shake it a lot before using and then intermittently between sprays. Covered an area of about 4'x6' with several touch-ups and retries.

Worked for about an 8th of the way through then the nozzle clogged and couldn’t use the rest. It cost $27

Might want to be cautious about using this product

Don’t know if it got frozen in transit to the store or what but it didn’t spray as it should have. I’ve used this product in the past and it worked fine. But this time it was a total waste of money.

Soaked in and not thick enough

I had to replace cement boards due to hurricane damage. I plastered over the boards and then sprayed this on when it was dry. This texture soaked right in. Then primed the plaster and tried again. It still didn’t go on thick enough to match the texture on the rest of the wall. Probably should have had a professional spray on texture instead.
