Ratings & Reviews for Homax Pro grade 25 Ounce(s) Tinted/white Orange peel Oil-based Wall Texture

Works great!

I just applied the orange peel product. After a quick practice attempt, I applied to two areas I had just patched. I was able to match the texture to match my existing texture. I did store the product inside for 24 hours to get temperature of the product to 72 degrees F. Highly recommended.

descent

did get the whole can to spray, but the texture profile didnt work, so needless to say it didnt match existing wall.

Used to fix water damaged window sill

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this wall texture spray. It's fairly easy to use and the can is the right size for my hand. Some downsides are if you are trying to spray at extreme angles (ie. Ceiling or tight corners) the spray isn't very even. Also this can in particular is a bit large and can be difficult to fit in tight spaces depending upon the job you use it for.

Junk

I bought 5 cans and only 1 of them worked properly. I exchanged the 4 broken cans for new ones, and 3 of those didnt work either. I gave up!

good value

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] got this for free to test out. it works as it is suppose to. for a minute i could t get it because i didnt read the directions

Great Covering

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We had a lot of texture missing from high traffic areas and with Pro Grade Wall Texture it was so easy to use and to fix all the problems that we had. Just spray it on that was it - great product - wish I knew about it earlier

Great product!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am beyond happy with this product. I was worried that I wouldn’t achieve the same look as my walls, but it went on effortlessly and matched perfectly.

Great

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It worked great.  I am redoing my laundry room and wanted to add texture to the walls as it was the only room of my home without textured walls.  Pro grade wall texture made my projects very easy to finish.  I recomend following the instructions well.  For me that is what made the biggest differenc because had never added textured to walls before.  The instructions were very clear and easy to follow, and I am very pleased with the end result.

Not happy

Purchased 3 cans 1 didn’t cover the space it said it would the second can the paint came out on my hand and wouldn’t spray the 3 can didn’t work at all! Do not buy this product!

Terrible

We have gone through three cans and they all had the same issue. It starts working for the first 3 seconds, then it stops working or just bubbles out without stopping. The trigger was seriously stuck one of the cans, do it just ran out all over the drop cloth. I am shocked stores are still selling this product because quality control is lacking here.

Effective, with sufficient prep.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Pro Grade Wall Texture for orange peel is an innovative product for replicating orange peel texture without having to re-do an entire wall. We had a few application issues that were likely related to using in cold--ish weather in a renovation project. Our container released a glob initially that dripped down the wall, so I would advise initially spraying onto some scrap cardboard to be sure the nozzle is clear. When changing from lighte...

Good in a Pinch

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I hoped this would be a one shot spray on and forget deal, but there simply is too much air, so you have to use other techniques to blend. I used for a patches and think the results were pretty decent, but I had to knock down the peaks. There is so much air volume that the product is too bubbly to look like conventional texture. But overall, this is a good product.

Not able to completely use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The first time, I tried to use this on my walls, I couldn't get it to come out of the can. I then placed the can in a bucket of hot water, to warm up the product. I shook it for at least a full minute. When I went to use it again, it started to come out, then clogged up again. I cannot get it to unclog to use it. It may have worked for what I needed if the product would have come out.

Making life easier!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received a can of pro-grade wall texture to try. I used it on a small wall repair I made. after dialing the correct spray pattern, It put the orange peel texture with no problem. I wish the formula was a little thicker. I do like the pressure regulator on the can. This product makes repairs easier and faster!.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Pro Grade Wall Texture works good for small patch areas and better than water-based texture products. I wouldn't recommend it for larger areas or a whole wall. Make sure to shake it a lot before using it and test it on cardboard BEFORE using it on your wall so that you can get the appropriate spray pattern that you want on your wall. Make sure to use the whole can for your project needs as you won't be able to unclog it after using it.

Works Just As Expected

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product works so well. Normally putting texture on the wall is a very messy process. While using a can like this wouldn’t be ideal for a whole room, it is perfect for smaller areas. The orange peel texture is as expected. Overall, I’m very pleased with the performance and dry time.
