Ratings & Reviews for Homax 14 Ounce(s) White Popcorn Water-based Ceiling Texture
Ratings may include incentivized customer reviews.
What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly report this popcorn ceiling spray fails to deliver advertised coverage, with single cans covering only a fraction of claimed square footage. Many describe uncontrollable, forceful spray that flies onto walls, floors, and furniture despite careful aiming. Reviewers note texture emerges in blobs or drips, dries yellow instead of cream white, and falls off ceilings immediately. Defective cans are common—some spray nothing at all, others produce chunks requiring scraping. A small number report success only on repairs under two square feet with meticulous preparation and extensive surface protection. Overall, most customers consider this product ineffective and frustratingly messy.

Would Not Recommenddid not spay out of the nozzle. it was more like a glob that i had to flick on the ceiling, with and without the straw attachment. It got the job done, just not how i expected it to.

Exactly what was needed.
Would RecommendBought this texture spray a few weeks ago for some touchup work and it has worked beautifully both in cleanup and with matching existing texture for fixing uneven spots and touchup this was perfect!

Hit or miss
Would RecommendI used a couple of cans, one shot perfect and made a seamless repair, the other did not work as planned and just made a mess.

Great product!
Would RecommendGreat product but you really have to shake it! We put the can in warm water for about 10 minutes which work great as well!

Good ceiling popcorn
Would RecommendGood ceiling popcorn. Just do not over-saturate when applying. Appears good when used sparingly.

Would Not RecommendNozzle design is lacking, it comes out a bit too thick

Garbage product
Would Not RecommendI bought two bottles and neither one of them worked. For 40 bucks this is an outrage.
