What Customers Are Saying
Customers praise these mending plates for exceptional strength and versatility across furniture, gates, and structural repairs. Most highlight the durable zinc coating, secure reinforcement, and multiple screw holes that allow flexible placement. Many appreciate the easy installation and compact design suitable for tight spaces. However, some report the plates are brittle and snap when bent, even slightly. A few note packaging appears misleading regarding quantity. Overall, most customers find them reliable for standard reinforcement applications, though those needing flexibility were disappointed.

Would RecommendIn my experience, Hillman makes good joining hardware. I used these plates to backup a glue job on a cut-down headboard for a bed (went from king to queen). I wondered about all the screw holes maybe weakening the plate, but it's tough, and the many holes allowed me to place the screws away from the join.

Good buy (if you find it)
Would RecommendBought this in person. Took a bit to find, but it was in the hobby drawers in hardware. It's a sturdy plate, great for hobbies (using it as a mounting bracket on a robot myself).
Worked well!
Would RecommendThe gentleman in Hardware was most helpful in finding just what was needed to repair a pickup/grabber tool that had a damaged plastic joint. He showed me several options or possibilities. The plate had holes in it so the tool could have screws through it to give it strength where the plastic had broken away.
