What Customers Are Saying
Customers praise these mending plates for their strength, durability, and versatility across DIY and structural repairs. Many highlight the triple zinc coating for corrosion resistance, pre-drilled holes for flexible installation, and reliable performance reinforcing wood, metal, and plastic joints. Users appreciate their ease of use for furniture repairs, gate hinges, and creative projects. However, some report the plates are brittle and snap if bent, even slightly, limiting flexibility. A few also note packaging confusion regarding quantity. Overall, most customers find them effective for rigid reinforcement applications.

Would RecommendIn my experience, Hillman makes good joining hardware. I used these plates to backup a glue job on a cut-down headboard for a bed (went from king to queen). Good buy (if you find it)
Would RecommendBought this in person. Took a bit to find, but it was in the hobby drawers in hardware. It's a sturdy plate, great for hobbies (using it as a mounting bracket on a robot myself).
Worked well!
Would RecommendThe gentleman in Hardware was most helpful in finding just what was needed to repair a pickup/grabber tool that had a damaged plastic joint. He showed me several options or possibilities. The plate had holes in it so the tool could have screws through it to give it strength where the plastic had broken away.
