Righty tighty, lefty loosey.

I removed it from the bag and was amazed at the construction. The head was on the opposite side from the threads, as it should be. The shank was as smooth as a baby's but and gleamed like a new spaceship under the lights of my garage. At first, I thought the threads were the wrong size but then realized I had been turning the bolt in the wrong direction. Once corrected, she went in like a Trojan on prom night. 1/4-in x 1-1/4-in Stainless Fine Thread Hex Bolt, you ARE fine.
