They do the job
Would RecommendI used these to secure my outdoor string lights to the porch ceiling. However, because they are not outdoor cup hooks I had to replace them after one season because they all turned black. You will have to drill a starter hole if putting these into wood as the tension alone will cause the cup hook to break from it's threaded base. Four stars because a few of the cup hooks in the pack are usually bent up/damaged in some way.
