Would RecommendWhile they are self-drilling, if I had a bunch to do at once, doing a pilot hole might be faster. That said the self-drilling worked fine and the screws actually provided a secure and strong bond. I'm very happy with them.

Get the right screw for the job
Would RecommendThe rubber gasket strip along the bottom of my (relatively new) garage door was coming off at one end. The Lowe's hardware guy knew just what I was talking about and recommended these. Because the bottom edge of the door itself is not solid, it's hard to get a screw that will attach. This one inch size did about as good a job as possible. The door itself really has a design flaw.

Would Not RecommendI bought 2 boxes to mount wood on to a small bike trailer. Good thing too. Out of 40, i could not use 18 of them. What a waste. No more hillman for me.
