What Customers Are Saying
The rock salt ice melt product is generally effective at melting ice and snow, especially at lower temperatures. Many customers report it works quickly and is a good value. However, some have experienced issues with the salt being too hard or lumpy, making it difficult to spread. Additionally, a few customers noted it did not work well in extreme cold conditions. Overall, the majority of customers seem satisfied with the product's performance and price, though a minority have had negative experiences.

Would RecommendI have not tried the product yet but will in the near future
Works Great in the Cold.
Works well and didn’t clump up in the bag. I just wish the product had fine particles.
Works well but would be Rd totally satisfied with product if gradual size was slightly smaller.

This isn't very good salt in my opinion
Would Not RecommendI didn't like it. It didn't milt the snow at all. I put heavy before the snow fall; it couldn't keep up at all
this is to goto
Would RecommendLove it! Works much quicker and better than the melts. I prefer rock salts everytime.
Sent the cheaper ones, not the one I ordered
Would Not RecommendSent the cheaper ones, I ordered SWI (SCOTWOOD INDUSTRIES, INC) De-icing salt but they sent me BIG EVEREST ROCK SALT and was not the one I asked for. The salt is not working and not melting the snow/ice.
Check the salt bag to see if pellets!!!!!!!
Would RecommendWhen I purchased snow salt, it should be in tiny little pellets. The whole two bags were solid solid. I had to sit and pound them with a hammer. I did not know this because I had the gentleman load into my car because I drove up. I was very disappointed.
Horrible product
Would Not RecommendOrdered 2 bags of rock salt got to bags with 2 rocks. Salt must have been wet at sometime like to boulders. Bags ripped.
Salt poor Quality ,Doesn't Melt Ice
When you order salt online, the product you receive isn't the one you ordered; they send you a different brand without explanation. Since Lowe's is a large, reputable company, you don't expect the product to be of poor quality. This is the second time this has happened to me at the same store in Turnersville, NJ. This particular brand of salt simply doesn't work; it doesn't melt the ice. It's worthless, and Lowe's is deceiving its customers.
