Hold the deck together

We used these screws together and it is yet to fall apart. We used 1.25" thick decking and the size worked fine.

Not ceramic screws

These were not ceramic screws. They were a cheaper galvanized grey screw. After bringing them back we discovered that all these were mismarked.

Never Have Any Problem with these

Always the same screw, almost never a bad one. I do use the flex version impact drill bits instead of the one they provide which last forever and rarely strips the screw head.

Hold great

These screws are being used for our new deck and work great.

Excellent screws for construction.

These screws have great holding power and also work very well to hold wooden materials in place. These screws have deep treads that are widely spaced that give them great holding ability.

Worse Screws Ever

I bought a box of these 3" deck screws, when I was building my deck. I literally would drive one 1 3/4", then have to back it out, toss it and then drive another screw in to complete it. If I didn't the head would strip out somewhere between 2" to 2 1/2" every time. Eventually I bought new screws and tossed these into the trash where they belonged. Please trust me when I say, don't waste your money on these, buy anything else.

Phillips Head is not the way to go

Kept stripping heads so had to go out and buy the star type heads. Ended up being a waste of money. Not Lowes fault. I should have known better.

Deck Screws

The problem with these screws is that only 3/4 of them are usable. The screw notches at the top can not take much force, you have to gently ease them into the wood. I guess what I am saying is they are not very durable at the top, the threads get ruined or the head breaks off. I would say the quality of them is average or below. Deck Screws

I am using these screws to attach fence railings to the posts. They do an excellent job and last for years. I have found this is the best way to permanently fasten the railing and not have pull out due to the sun "drawing" the fasteners out.

Not good for smart LP panel

Poor point won't start in LP smart panel without long drill time!

Good multi use outdoor screws

Heads well formed, no problems with coating filling drive slots Screws do not break on high torque settings

necessary evil

Had to get these for my deck and they work well. Work best with the "hardened" #2 screw heads for the battery drill. Otherwise, the screw head slips and can round out the the screw slots.
