Would RecommendScrews away last longer, but you could use ring nails, it might be a little bit faster.

They last in treated lumber. Look new after 2 year
Would RecommendUsed these to hold on treated plywood when I was building my shed. Used them for years and they don't seem to mind the treated lumber.

Quality fasteners
Would RecommendI just purchased a 5lb box. I recently was taking apart a set of Adirondack chairs that had been in my back yard for about 5-6 years. I had used these screws back then also. Minus some dirt, they were like brand new.

worst purchase ever
Would Not RecommendI purchased 5 lbs these screws I have built a lot of decks and fence’s these are by far the worst deck screws I have ever used!!!! they do not lock in to the tip very good keep falling out and put pressure on them they turn to the side. I hands to hold the screw with my fingers to get it started into the wood. My hand hurts from the drill slipping of the screw and drilling my fingers do not buy
I have never had so many problems with screws ever
Would Not RecommendWe had 2 major projects that called for these screws. We used 5 cases of screws in a 2 week period. This box of screws would not start on most of the tries. Some we just had to throw out. We got to the point when we found one that would start we kept using it to start a hole so we could use the rest in the box. This was the third box of decking screws we used and I will gladly say that the first 2 boxes and the last two boxes worked perfectly. I am glad because I would have quit if we had anothe...

the star screw is the best, ever!‰
Would RecommendI was just in your store buying paint there was one person at the paint desk. There was four associates at the customer SVC desk & 4 cashiers with no customers at either place. At the .paint desk wait time for my paints 15 minutes. I have a problem with the alignment of personnel in your store in Sanford North Carolina.

not safe
Would Not RecommendFirst time to use star drive, will never use again. I've use the square drive and they work great, these star drive screws are way too hard to use. Bit is loose in screw, Takes too much time to use also.

star tips don't fit right
Would Not RecommendI had a hard time trying to screw the fasteners in the fence boards. It seems like the star tip don't fit right. It called for a T20 and I used a T20 but the drill still wobled inside the screw head. A T25 bit was to large. This might be a bad batch because this is the first time I have had trouble using this product. Next time I will use the philips head.

Simply put star bit hold better!
Would RecommendThe star bit heads are easier to install than phillips which you must have the exact fit bit #1 #2 #3 whatever to hold the bit in the screw to prevent stripping the screw and they work but not as easy and with these you get a bit!

A little pricey, but worth it
Would RecommendThese coated screws afford the easiest and most reliable installation of any I've used. The star drive prevents torque out, the counter-sink head does its job well. They are a little more expensive than some others, but the convenience and good performance is worth it.

My fence contractor learned something new.
Would Recommendi insisted with my fence contractor that our new cedar fence must be built using deck screws instead of nails, since they won't rust or pull out. He said that he had never done that in more than 20 years. After realizing that the custom head/fitting design of the deck screws made it easy and fast to put up, he said he will start using that as a selling point that makes him stand out above his competition. It is a little more expensive than using nails and not as fast as using a nail gun, but the...

dull tips
Would Not Recommendthey are priced as much or higher than GRK or fastenal, but they are impossible to start without pre drilling when using an impact drill, and hard to start with a conventional drill. the ridges under the head look like they would minimize splitting, but they don't. the coating seems great, but not worth the wasted time.
