NOT for Outdoor Use

I was so excited for these lights to put around our new trampoline, but they did not work. At the first rain (a few days after putting them up), they started breaking. Now half of the lights don’t turn off unless we unplug them and there is water inside of the lights themselves. The box said they were weather proof and this is not accurate. We will be returning them. Other than that major flaw, they worked well. I would recommend them for indoor use only.

Lights inoperable after rain

Water Intrusion

The bulbs filled up with water and stopped working in 2 months outdoors.

Not waterproof

I set up this lights on my deck. First rain water got into the bulbs. I took them all off, dried and made sure they were very securely tight. We just got more rain, lights filled up with water again :/ Definitely not waterproof. I also got several other Govee products and those work marvelously. But the string lights are a big NO for wet Midwest winters.

“Outdoor” but not water resistant. Don’t buy.

The lights shorted less than two weeks after we bought them after exposure to light rain. Gould the plastic bulbs full of water. Still waiting to hear back from Govee after submitting a ticket. The lights were easy enough to pair and responded to the app. So I suppose they’re good to use if you don’t expect any moisture.

Had them less than a month hanging outside. I was really excited that a proper investment in lights might be providing a year round solution. But less than a month later they are full of water and shorting out. Of course, I no longer have the original packaging. Looking to send them back if I can.

Pretty for 8 weeks

Stopped working! One set used only two occasions. Other set worked for 8 weeks. Water in bulbs on both sets. Very disappointed and embarrassed. The set used twice were a gift.

NOT WATERPROOF

Great idea with the coloring changing and syncing with other strings, that part works great. BUT, THEY ARE NOT WATERPROOF as is says on the box! Ended up having to drill an 1/8" hole in the bottom of all the plastic housings to let water drain out. That after 6 of them filled with water and burnt the controller up. Great use for inside, but stay away from wet weather!

The color changing and other features only work with a subscription to use their phone app. Otherwise they just come on and burn light blue.
