Would RecommendWe installed the nest outdoor camera after installing the nest doorbell. The goal was to secure up the home a bit before winter. Installing was a breeze and the fact that with a few lines of code I was able to integrate it with Home Assistant this device works amazingly well! The ability to see who is trying to cut thru the breezeway or try to open the garage door from anywhere is perfect! Plus the ability to speak to the person as well, what a great way to enhance security.

Would Not RecommendIt’s okay, not amazing. A wider field of view would be useful. The camera just barely covers my rear deck. Image quality is fine as is the sound. App is fairly responsive when opening. I expected Familiar Face Detection (which the Nest Hello offers) but is missing. The problem with Nest Cam and Hello are the alerts. Would Not RecommendI have a Android phone and the speaker volume is very low when I speak threw the mic. My wife has an Apple phone and her volume is very high. I'm not understanding when Android is Google based.

Would RecommendThe good - Easy to install, good aesthetics, good app and integration with other google devices/services.The bad - motion events are unreliable, and with the base nest aware subscription recording depends on there being a motion event. For my driveway cam a tree branch shadow might trigger an event but an SUV driving through the driveway won't.
