Quality Could Be Better

Definitely wanted the mobility option. Would have paid more for a better quality wheel however.

Easy to build with minor issues

I purchased these for a cabinet another department ordered. My only issue with these casters is the hardware was relatively short. And the bolts could use a washer, as they are almost the same size as the holes on the caster mounting plate. I would have ran washers to correct this, but the hardware was so short that it wouldn't thread with the washers.

Gladiator Swivel Casters

A little pricey but worth it if you plan on moving around the Gladiator Free Standing Cabinets. I store my cabinets under my work bench so they roll out from under the bench when I want to use the cabinet tops for additional work surface.

Great strong wheels

I put these wheels on a lumber cart that I made. It is holding at least 400 to 500 lbs of wood. The cart is still pretty easy to push around. Great wheels!

Used /Returned item shipped to me

Ok casters, a little over priced for the quality but they have an offset bolt pattern so you can't easily use a different set of casters. The casters shipped to me were used and returned, the box was tore and wrapped with shipping tape to close it and the casters were loose laying in the box with none of the factory packing compared to the other set they shipped with. I should have the option to pay this much for an item that had been previously used VS getting a new set.

Proprietary fixed wheels

The casters seem to be ok quality but the two of the casters are fixed position (normally no big deal) but you can only place them in certain spots on the cabinet. So you can only move the cabinet back and forth width wise, which I needed it to move the other way in order to stow it properly in a narrow trailer. Normally you can go out and get the caster that you need, except the cabinets have non-standard bolt placements, so you cant purchase your own aftermarket casters with universal bolt pla...

Suitable but just average

Plastic wheels and stiff locks on pivot wheels. WAY too expensive. All the wheels should be interchangeable or all four pivot. Rolling the cabinet width (28") wise vs. depth (18") is difficult in my application. I will know more once the cabinets are loaded and I have to roll them with weight.

Great casters. Cheap bolts.

Delivery problem again--6 weeks from order to delivery. The bolts furnished are poor quality (one broke without too much effort) and they are about 2 threads too short. Must have saved 2 cents each.

These casters add mobility to work space and that's an added plus! I can keep on the move and have a cabinet with storage right there with every step. I also read someone had a problem with mounting them. I can see where that came from. Here's my take on it. worth the extra cost

castor kit has really nice castors that lock. they are easy to install at time of build. the do add 6" in height to the cabinet.. they work very well and make cleaning your shop/garage area easy.

Extremely easy to install

I'm not sure why so many people made installing these casters harder than it needed to be. There is no drilling necessary at all. The bottom of the cabinets have a sheet metal spacer with the holes welded on. You put the carriage bolts (included) into the top of the casters and then put the heads in the holes on the cabinets, slide them over to lock in the square part of the carriage bolt then tighten the nuts. Bad Purchase for me.

This product had very easy instructions, however, parts did not line up for the screws. The website recommends wheels that don't attach! One door is bent and doesn't close well. I recommend going to the store and looking closely at the cabinets prior to purchasing.

Excellent!

I nearly didn't buy the product after reading the other reviews, but really needed my GearBox to be mobile. Each caster has 4 holes, which line up with the 4 threaded holes on the bottom of the GearBox. Ten minutes and 16 small 7/16 head bolts (included) later and the box is mobile.

Problems

This is a very sturdy product but, the brass fitting that extends thru the bottom of the case it too long for this item to fit apporpriately WITHOUT cutting off the brass fitting... They should have made the brass fitting flush with the mounting plate for the casters. Otherwise I like the set and bought 4 cabinets....

Why reinvent the wheel?

So gladiator wants to reinvent the wheel, well they did, and they did it so poorly that it might as well be square. At least as far as fitment and ease of use for these boxes. Don't bother buying them, you have to either modify the caster or the box so much you can just go buy any caster from Lowes or anywhere.
