Defective from the start. Replaced with new.
The first one was defective causing me to have to drive across town because my local Lowe’s had exactly one in stock and it was defective. How do you only have one defective mailbox in the rack that was returned by a customer over a year ago because they left the receipt in the mailbox.

Would RecommendI love our new mailbox. It is exactly what we were looking for. Definitely a needed upgrade. We got the green with the red flag and it’s just a pleasure to open and close it. It is so smooth and roomy, but not too big. Our old one was falling apart and wouldn’t close anymore. This mailbox was an excellent value, as well.

Would Not RecommendThe inside of the box and the last 1/4” of the inside of the door closest to the box, including the hinges, was not primed or painted. In our humid and rainy climate, this box will start to rust very quickly. In addition, the steel prong on the door that is supposed to latch to the top of box has no springiness to it. The lip of the box just pushes the prong away (and the prong does not spring back to provide any tension) so the door does not latch closed very tightly when the door is closed ...

Standard Replacement That Is Easy To Install
Would RecommendStandard replacement, which was easy to install, however the hinged door is already starting to fall open without much grip on the top of mailbox. This is still great value for the quality.

Would Not RecommendThis got dropped while mounting it, which knocked it out of shape. My best efforts where not able to get it back to the point where the door closed easily. Was it my fault for dropping it? Yes, but the horizontal mounting arm is only 34" off the ground.
