The generator ‘Generac’ is a very respectable name brand and price was reasonable. It was also duel fuel and electric start.

Bought a generator but haven't used it yet.

Severe voltage sag on 30 amp circuit

Does not deliver rated capacity. Get the GP7500 if you want to run a true 30-amp load (e.g. water heater). The engine bogs down and the voltage fluctuates wildly.

Great Generator

Follow directions and it was easy to set up and works perfect.

Did not work out of the box & cannot return!

After 3 calls with the Generac service hotline to get this thing to work, and after running around trying to find & replace a new sparkplug (from their direction) we are now in the process of getting this 200lb machine into an authorized service center to diagnose why this brand new machine out of the box will not start. I have never been more disappointed with a product in my life. I feel so foolish for spending so much money on this thing. We are still weeks away from getting a working gene...

Don't use a Lowes credit card. APR is 31.99%

Generator will not start. I purchased it because my Father-In-Law is living with us and uses Oxygen and the large winter storm was heading our way. Luckly our power didn't go out. Beyond that, I received my Lowes credit card (applied at purchase). Very surprised with the 31.99% APR, shame on Lowes! That's disgusting. I immediately paid the entire balance. 31.99%!!!! Not in my lifetime.

Fuel leaking from filter

Unfortunately, we purchased this on January 28 due to our generator dying during the severe weather. Upon opening the box and assembling this unit, everything seemed to be going just fine. Back up security

Like the electric start and the various socket types which allows you to run different devices. Also like the handle it makes it easy to maneuver. The small print instructions made it a bit difficult to read and were incomplete...you need to read the placard on the generator for start instructions.

Same Gas leaking issue

I bought this last night, put it together this morning, added the oil, fueled it up, started per the instruction ran great, went to plug in my extension cord and noticed it was pouring gas everywhere. I turned it off drained the carb took it apart and everything looked fine. Reassembled it and it is running fine. After 8hrs it is leaking oil from somewhere on top of the block under the fuel tank. Easy to assemble. Electric Start works great.

I bought my unit based on its dual fuel capabilities however starting it in LP mode is a bit of a challenge.

Denied Return Despite Kentucky State of Emergency

I purchased an unopened generator on 01/23 and attempted to return it. The store manager refused the refund, stating that more than 48 hours had passed. However, on that same date, the state of Kentucky was under an declared State of Emergency due to a winter storm, making travel unsafe and strongly discouraged.
