Pleased with our purchase

We lost power due to severe storms that roared through our area. The sump pump was flooding out into the basement and we had just filled our freezer so we needed electricity. Because of the widespread damage from the storms it was evident we were not getting our power on anytime soon. Purchased a Generac 8000 watt unit and we were able to get through the blackout! The generator supplied more than enough power and ran several hours on a tank of gas - very pleased with our purchase!

Glad to have

We lost power for 13 days due to storm on August 11-26 in NW Indiana, it was great to power up the freezer in garage, and refrigerator in house along with lights!! Next going to have it hooked up so we just plug in generator to entire house

Dependable power source

We had an extended power outage. This was my first portable generator. It assembled easily and worked well supplying power to my home. It was the only unit available due to the area wide power outage. My only complaint is the noise level while running.

Finally have one that works

Once I got a working generator (had to return 2 of them til I got one that worked) it has been workable for me. I am getting a whole house generator so I don't have to mess with it.

This is my second portable generic generator, I still have the first one, it’s about thirty years old. So far the new one works smoothly. I’ve had two power outages so far. It handled the work load great.

Power to spare

I bought this during the power outage of August. Setup was easy, the generator worked flawlessly. It powered half of my house with extension cords. 2 refrigerators, a chest freezer, sump pump, ceiling fans and lights. Had my cable modem and wifi running as well as 2 8,000 BTU air conditioners. The only issue I ran into was that the cushions for the handlebars were missing. All it took was a few emails and Generac took care of that for me.

GP8000E Portable Generator

We bought our GP8000E on August 12th after the devastating August 11th storm that hit Northwestern Indiana. It save all the food in both of our refrigerators, and also ran our TV and Internet.

Runs great from the start!

I purchased this prior to hurricane season. Of course I hope I dont have to use it, but if we lose power this should do the trick. Plenty of power to run my entire house. (without being stupid) It runs great so far. No problems.

Great features compared to other generators

I'm 70 years old and live alone. When I purchased this product generators were in very high demand due to frequent power outages and severe storms. It was the only one I could find. There's no doubt that it's a wonderful product, but it's too heavy for me, and I don't have the upper body strength to start it with the pull cord. I need to find a neighbor to help, usually during driving rain and terrible weather conditions-not ideal times to ask for help when neighbors were experiencing simila...

Great product

I bought this last month after a second round of thunderstorms. I starter up fine, and ready for the next power outage. Just would be quiter while running.

Starts easy

Great product glad we have it but hope we don't have to use the it for a while.

Easy to use

I bought the 8063 tri fuel generator at a local hardware store, I local electrician installed a transfer switch. Approximately a week later we had a power outage. The generator worked as expected it did seem to be a little hard to start i was using propane, but that may be normal I don't have experience with using propane for fuel.

Great product

Wr bought the 6500 generac the 4 th of July and it helped us get by for 2 days without power works excellent.

Easy start and understanding how it works

Bought this and had it tied into the house and had a huge storm come through NW Indiana and it worked amazingly wonderful

Tri fuel

I bought this generator recently to be used to back up the electric power in my home during power outages. I have not had a chance to use it yet but have tested this generator and it works quite well.

Easy set up

I purchased this a month ago at Farm and Fleet. Set up was super easy. It fired right up, the battery already had a full charge on it for the starter. There are directions on the machine so when the power does go out and your in a rush you don’t have to go looking for anything it’s all on the machine and ready to get your house back up and running.

Good generators but...

Bought 2 of these. In FL, I start them about every 6 months. At 9 months old, one did not start. H Depot didn't even have them on file as a purchase. Generac fixed that. I got the repair but had to rent a uhaul - 2 separate trips to take to the shop and back home. I think it should have been fixed on site, considering I spent almost 2k with them. I do like them though
