have owned numerous fridges and this is a piece of junk. After 14 months of ownership it now ranks as the worst fridge ever purchased. 7 service calls over a 3 month period and the water flow dispenser is still bad. Cooling is inconsistent. The XWFE filters last 1 month and the GE service sinks. I installed a back of the fridge in-line filter and bypassed the XWFE filter and water flow and filter life is night and day. GE should be held accountable for forcing use of their XWFE filters that fail...

Quality appliance

Recently purchased and very happy to have a quality product again. I appreciate the sturdy doors for temperature control and the quiet ice maker. The lighting is very good. I am still getting used to the new shelf design, but I'm encouraged by the available space.

Considering our refrigerator was 30+ years old, this was a welcome and much needed change. Enjoy the ice/water function in the door - teenage granddaughter thoroughly enjoys it!

Frozen Ice bucket in door for external dispenser

We were excited to get this refrigerator, but unfortunately, the ice bucket in the door for external dispenser was frozen shut from the start. From on-line searches, this looks to be a common problem (e.g., due to improper seal, misaligned flapper). We are scheduled to get a replacement (same model) this week, and hope for the best.

GE refrigerator.

Refrigerator working very well. Very good product in my opinion. Had some issues with delivery though Toni F., Took (mod)care of the situation. I want to Thank Toni F and her team for the awesome help she and her team provide.

Piece of crap company

Piece of crap like all GE appliances this is the second gen fridge (not by choice builders choice) we had to live with he appliances. When I tell you everything dishwasher microwave and fridge went to crap after 2-3 years I mean it. The last remaining piece of crap item is the fridge and this is the second ge freezer that leaves ice cream soupy even set on turbo cold or lowest temp possible. It’s absolute crap

Gorgeous refrigerator

Beautiful refrigerator. Love the bottom mounted freezer. Have moveable shelves which makes getting to food much easier. And all the refrigerated product are higher up making it much easier to reach them, no bending over.

Buy Something Else

My refrigerator is less than 2 years old and has already quit cooling properly.

Great disappointment.

The entire cooling system and compressor were replaced after failing. The refrigerator was delivered in March and failed within 3 months. This refrigerator replaced the exact same model I purchased 2.5 years ago. That refrigerator's cooling system and compressor failed as well. When it couldnt be repaired by Bodewell GE fulfilled the warranty. I appreciated the replacement; extremely disappointed in having the same failure occur. I am praying the repairs will last.

Not exactly a successor to PYE22KYKSS

I am a little disappointed that this model does not display the amount of water dispenser like the model that it allegedly replaced in the product line up. ALSO despite being listed as a replacement for a discontinued model it uses a different water filter and I have a tjree pack remaining from the previous refrigerator. Any chance GE will give me a credit for three RPEFE filters so I can now purchase XWFE ones

Freezer died within two weeks of installation

The freezer stopped working within 2 weeks of installation. The refrigerator portion continued to work. Lowe's came to look at the refrigerator and said they could not repair it. I figured they would then work to replace the refrigerator. But no, I was directed to contact GE. This will be the last large appliance I buy from a big box store

Horrible service!

Horrible! Absolutely extremely awful service! We have a 28 cu ft fridge in our which doesn't work so we ordered one which is 27.8 cu ft with delivery and haul away. The RXO delivery guys said it was too big to go through our door (which is weird because our current fridge is 28 cu ft which had no problem when it came in) and they asked me to order a 24 cu ft fridge. Then I ordered a 22 cu ft fridge, and I rescheduled the delivery. These guys came again and said again that the fridge is too big a...

Plusses and Minuses

Good storage, however doors do not close easily and I don't love the icemaker/water dispenser as its impossible to dispense without making a mess. The refrigerator door is weighted to stay open vs. close, which makes no sense.

Water is pooling under meat and cheese tray

We are seeing a pool of water gather under meat and cheese tray that we have to use multiple rags to remove. Unknown source! We discovered this last year and don’t know how long this has been happening. Gone unnoticed and it turns to mold!
