Second time, knob still breaks

Two different times we have purchased this and the knob breaks again 🫠 completely deletes the purpose of buying a vented cook top when the knob breaks. Can't use it now.

Knobs

I am so disappointed. The knobs are keep breaking from inside. This is the second ge profile top we bought but like after six months the knobs started to break from inside. It is not worth the amount we paid.

You must have 40amp circuit breaker .

2 days heavy aluminum pans-marks & scratches

OK so I did something wrong. But, I don't even know what caused the white spots. Would water on the pan cause this or a bacon splatter or an aluminum lid or shaving? Will the ridges on the bottom of a heavy aluminum pan cause the scratches. I can keep from splattering or sliding a pan. But, getting others in the household to do so is a difficult task. Pretty bummed this is after two days. Marks on three burners and scratches on one. Any suggestions on least toxic non stick cookware would...

I would recommend this stovetop and installer

I have had a similsr cooktop for 20 years. It always worked well. The new stovetop went in easily and the installer did an excellent job.

Very fine cooktop. This is the second GE cooktop we've had and liked them both.

Needs downdraft adapter

Seems to be a very nice piece and I’m sure it’s one we will enjoy, especially being a former chef. If you have an older general electric downdraft model, you will need the square adapter to fit into the existing hole, The downdraft shaft is a little bit longer than the older model.

You’ll want to pay for installation.

This down draft system has been very difficult to install. We purchased it because it appeared to be an updated model of our previous GE cooktop that needed replacement. The down draft system for this model is not centered the same way as our previous model. My husband can do pretty much anything mechanical, so we never pay for installation or assembly, but I’m really wishing we’d paid for installation at this point. Yes, it cooks. We’re still working on getting the downdraft system vented ...

Solid top

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Product was a replacement for our previous GE Profile Electric Glass Cooktop. A metal can slipped from my wife's hand and hit the cooktop and broke the glass.

Rip off on installation - the product is great!
