Stopped working after 1 year

The microwave turns on, but no longer heats the food. I’ve only had it a year.

It seems to work fine, but closing the door is a bit tinny.

Microwave for the MIL

Her old one only ran with the door open... Yikes! Lowe's to the rescue. Looked up the old model # and found the replacement. Walked in, bought, went to her house and installed. Perfect fit and it works with the door shut!!!

Not a Great Experience

Had some issues with this microwave. About the time the warranty ran out, the sound on the microwave started having issues. It would intermittently go in and out. This was a big problem when setting a timer. A few random times it sparked inside out of nowhere. Then the other night made a loud pop and stopped heating. Pretty disappointed. I've never owned a microwave that only lasted a few years.

Disappointed

Replaced an older GE model that died. Thought if we got the same model that is would fit but everything had to be done again. New holes and less bracket. Used to be a U shaped bracket now it was just one straight piece helping to hold the microwave. This new one is not as powerful, light is not bright and it is noisy. Seems like everything is made so much cheaper. If you don't have to replace DON'T.

Durability

Had to buy a new one my last ge microwave in this model lasted 2 months past the warranty, the stopped working.

Third time’s a charm?

Third one in 6 years and this one is quite loud when it starts. This will be my last one.

Power cord is in center of right cabinet

Power cord ends up in the center of right cabinet. Not convenient for storing items in the cabinet. They could easily put the cord towards the back or side.

looks great works very well on all food. Had a GE microwave for 25 yrs so that is why I bought this one. I am very happy with it.

Purchased 17 August 2026, reviewed on 19 September 2026 Bottom line: I would recommend this microwave, especially if you are replacing a similar GE model. The installers were able to use the same hanging brackets, so all they had to do was unscrew the old microwave and screw in the new one. Why I bought it: In August of 2026, I bought this microwave to replace a similar model that was manufactured early 2000s and stopped microwaving. The light and fan and turntable turned on but no heating. ...

Great microwave for above the stove.

It works great and looks very nice above my stove.
