Not what it should be

The fridge light went within the first year, 4th year - the fridge will probably need a new part or replaced - fridge/freezer temperature went from desired 36/-2 temperature to 56/38 . Thawed over 14 hours with doors open, still won’t reach temperature after 3 days. The warranty is 2 years? Your products are garbage that’s why.

Lasted little over 1 year

Bought new from Lowe’s in 2025. Died in 2026.

Terrible ice maker

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Replaced similar GE refrigerator. Have had ice maker replaced twice and still takes about a week to fill the ice bucket. I think we got a lemon appliance. Have all GE appliances in my home and have been happy until this one.

Ice maker is beyond slow, still won't work.

This is our 4th GE side by side. They are great, but the ice makers are notoriously slow. This last one, however, is either malfunctioning or just ridiculously slow and worse than bad. We can't get through a day without running out. Hoping it's a warranty issue. Update: service came out, changed out water filter first since GE had some issues with a batch of filters? Didn't help, they came back and changed ice maker. Still not working. Waiting to hear back on Monday. So day, let down and frustra...

I have had trouble with the ice maker since three months in. Its been fixed but it still doesn’t work correctly or even dispense ice on a regular basis

Fridge would not cycle off

The fridge works fine cooling in both fridge and freezer compartment to the digital setpoints. Confirmed with analog temp gauges. The only quirk it had in the beginning within 2- 4 week was I was noticing the unit would not cycle off. Temp in both compartments were fine. I unplugged for 10 minutes as to not restart on high head pressure. Anyway, to be sure there was nothing going on with control board, etc. I had a tech come out and inspect. About Two Years Later

Overall, this product does keep the food cool or frozen. It has flexible storage configurations. All that should be a given in the 21st century. However, after a year a light went out which is annoying-still need to get it fixed. But the most frustrating thing about it are the filters! Over half the filters do not work and are a giant waste of money. It's practically a subscription but worse! Great fridge. We love having the ice and water and really checked it out before purchasing it.

Brand new. Trash.

Brand new! Water dispenser trickles water after 25 days. Changed hoses..trickle. Put in brand New filter and error and won’t dispense water at all. Seems to be a theme for products at lowes. Go to an appliance store these models are “made for big box stores”

We just had the product and it’s very quiet… we like the design and easy to use.

It is a very loud humming noise almost all the time and the freezer does not work well food is not completely frozen.

Water Filter Fail

Do not buy this brand of refrigerator. The water filter is not replaceable by the average home owner. You must hire a professional to install it. $$$ Check out all the Youtube videos out there trying to help the homeowner install the water filter by themselves. Not happening folks.

No temperature regulation, everything freezes

It's never worked right and warranty service has not fixed it. Everything freezes, including the water filter so it doesn't make ice or dispense water. If I wanted a giant freezer then I'd be happy, but I ordered a side by side fridge.

Only 3 years

Bought this in July 2023. All my food started spoiling in the fridge and all the freezer items are ice. I cannot get it to cool properly. This is absolute junk.

not even 3 years old and having problems

purchased this in November 2023. it is now July 2026 and is currently having problems with cooling. coils get cleaned on a regular basis so I know it's not that. light on the control board flashes but unable to look up with the sequence means, the freezer struggles to maintain temperature, and it shut down the ice maker. not very impressed for spending close to $1,000 on an appliance. but that's the problem with modern day appliances they're built to be disposable nothing's made to last like it ...

Don’t buy, ice machine won’t work

Don’t buy, bought fridge after two months and the ice dispenser no longer works. When I turn it on condensation appears inside the freezer and it makes a loud humming sound. I tried to get in touch with bodewell and (GE maintenance) and I can’t schedule a maintenance person to come. When I tried to register the item there website wouldn’t recognize it. Extremely disappointed
