Nice AC unit but our plug burned up

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It looks very well however we didn't use it long before it tripped the breaker and we noticed the plug was burnt inside so we need a new cord now. It's not real loud like some AC units but it's not quiet either. It's easy to install.

Love the eco function!

This thing really changed our home. Our central ac couldn’t keep up this summer and this window unit has given us the extra boost we need to stay cool. The eco function still cools and keeps our power bill affordable. We love it!

Falls Short

doesn't keep up with cooling when it's really hot and humid.

Terrible quality

Worked great for the first summer! Now it will cool for a few minutes then it’s back off. I’ve tried all of the troubleshooting possible and nothing.

Could be more colder

It’s great but there’s a problem with it not getting cold and we checked everything does this take Freon?

Don't waste your money

Have had EVERY KIND of issues with this product!! Worked fine for a few months then starting having issues. Leaking inside home was the 1st issue. Control panel quit working. Used warranty got a brand new one. It worked maybe 6 to 9 months & had same water leak issue (even though it's tilted as far as it can be without falling out of window) started having control panel issues AGAIN so I took it apart & the whole control panel board was SOAKED with water the seals around it sucked & weren't put ...

Smart AC Unit!

We use this air conditioner on the daily in a 800sq ft basement room. It cools the room within minutes even on the hottest summer day in Lake Havasu City, Arizona where temperatures reach 120°F! It hooks up to our wi-fi and can be controlled easily through the Smart HQ app. I can even schedule the unit to turn off at the same time every morning when I wake up to get ready for work. Broken unit in less than 1 year.

This unit worked fine for less than 1 year. After 9 months of elasped time and probably only 3 months of actual use, the fan on the outside that blows the air on the outside coil began making a large banging noise from the failure of it making the unit useless. Without doing a complete disassembly of the unit, it's hard to determine if the fan came loose on the shaft, if the motor bearing went out, or the fan began breaking up. Cooling power

Worse air conditioner ever. Does not cool up to 700 ft. Only cool 1 bedroom up to 350. Will not recommend

Not worth the money

We bought this a year ago. Used throughout the summer and start of this summer before it started to take a dump. The one previously only lasted a year also. It starts out great. But then slowly over only one summer the cold won’t click on. Filter was regularly cleaned. It’s only cold for about 45 seconds before it turns off again. Currently 90 degrees F in bedroom. Not cooling after exactly two years

Bought this on 7/1/2022. Unit no longer cools. It just blows air. Now it's just a noisy large window fan. Had better expectations for a product bearing the GE name but even the cheap Danby in our other room is working great after over 3 years. I guess this is what you called manufactured obsolescence

DO NOT BUY

Air conditioner is SO MOLDY after 2 seasons, even with regular cleaning, that it’s unusable and leaving us in a horrible situation. It’s effecting my health and we can’t afford to buy another one. After 2 years it’s now not able to keep up cooling the house very well either. DO NOT BUY

Worst ac unit made

Lasted 2 seasons spent a decent amount on the unit cleaned before summer and after summer. Horrible experience with this model.

Worst investment

Waste of money. Used it for 2 summers doesn’t blow cold anymore. Apparently, it has leaked all refrigerant out of it. Now it is just a giant paperweight did everything I was supposed to maintain it for longevity. Ended up just being a waste of money.
