This light gives nice bright kitchen light.

The light works fine. Gives clear, soft light and was easy to install. Lasts a long time.

Great

I actually returned. Purchased 2 sizes, an 8.25" and a 9" for the light on my ceiling fan. I wasn't sure what size I needed. As it turned out the bulb I had was fine which I now know is 8.25". The light button on my remote control got turned off so that is why the light wasn't coming on. I will purchase again when needed.

The light works - it is half of what we need to replace burned out circlines.

Last About Three Years

Even though the light, as advertised by GE, has a five year life * (* when used on average six hours a day), have not had one go past three years (used in a bathroom with, maybe 1.5 hour usage, per day). If you desire a refund from GE, you will need the receipt and the original packaging!

Seems like a decent replacement bulb.

Some circular bulbs have connector pins that are in a fixed position and that protrude toward the top of the bulb. This makes it very difficult and/or impossible to install them due to the lack of space between the top of the bulb and the fixture. This GE bulb allows for a little adjustment on the pins so that the power plug connects on the side of the bulb. Much easier to install. Our fixture contains a 12" and 8.25" bulb.
