Would RecommendThis is a key component when installing doors or windows to guarantee that you do not in advertently allowel water to seep in to the interior of the dwelling. This works perfectly and is designed for just such an application. If you just grab any product and use just because it is handy the results will be costly. I have used this now for a couple of years and have never had any issues that was do to the product.

Goes on white, days later washed away white
Would Not RecommendTrying something I normally don’t backfires. Saw it was going on white although labeled clear and figured it would dry clear. Simply caulking around window where it meets j channel so thin areas. Days later it wasn’t dry and now in torrential downpours with water leaking past it. And the caulk is rinsed away by the rain to the base of the exterior wall of my garage. So now water has gotten inside as well. Just what I needed, more work

GE is the better brand
Would RecommendGE is always better than other brands. I still prefer the GE Paintable Silicone Supreme, but this worked. (I couldn’t find the “paintable” supreme at Lowes, but have used that from other stores, so I tried this product.) I find the GE brand easy to use with the caulking gun, and easy to swipe with a finger for a nice finish. I like to work in small sections so it’s quick to finish. If you wait too long, swiping with your finger will mess it up. It drys nicely. Of course, I always like to have a ...
