Never used LED tubes in our garage before. These are brighter than daylight!! Love them.

Update your fluorescent tubes

Had to replace burned out fluorescent tube in garage, so discovered the LED replacements. I hate changing ceiling fixture fluorescents, so I hope these will be long lasting.

GE LED TUBES

Nice and bright at low clearance price. Plug and play. May not work with some ballasts especially older ones.

48" LED replacements for fluorescents

These Led replacements for 48" fluorescents are excellent. They will outlast the old type tubes by a long time. They worked fine with the existing T8 ballast in the light fixture, no problems, unlike the way some dimmers that are sold these days are supposed to be LED compatible but don't work with all LED bulbs.

Easy replacement when it is just the tubes

installed 48" fluorescent fixtures in my barn 15 years ago. The lights are on 16 hours a day over the horse stalls and much less in the other area. Based on the rating I should expect 6 years life and 69% less energy consumption. Gone to 100% LED in all 15 or so fixtures. Great bulbs

I have the t 8 ballast in my fixture in these bulbs are brighter then the t 8 I had in the fixture to start with. These bulbs are really great you can't beat them.

1 pack out of 4 worked

Purchased 4 packs yesterday (2 tubes in each pack). Out of 4 boxes only one pair of tubes worked. Basically, failure ratio is 75%. How is it even possible, GE? It is either, Lowes is selling defective and returned items or GE does not have any standard to what they manufacture and receive from China. Ballast compatibility is absolutely fine, it is tube bulb is a problem.

Immediate Failure

Just purchased & installed 2 of these Leds in a T8 electronic ballast 2 bulb fixture. They turned on bright & then went dim. Replaced with a set of new flourescent T8 bulbs and they worked fine. Waste of time and 2 trips to Lowe's.

Dim

My husband bought these and took them back as they were not very bright. We thought the daylight ones would be, but he returned them and bought the regular fluorescent bulbs.

Didn't work

The bulb's came in a box that was previously opened. They wouldn't work in my fixture (and as the box was returned didn't work for the last buyer either). I bought a different brand from another store that worked fine.

High Failure Rate

Installed 8 of these in the garage to replace my F32T8 48” bulbs and within 4 days 4 of the 8 had failed. Replaced the failed led lights with fluorescent which are working fine. The house was constructed in 2009. Any ideas why these failed so quickly?

Not very bright

I bought these to replace the two fluorescent bulbs in my master closet. I was very disappointed to discover that these are not very bright at all. Just one of the fluorescent bulbs is brighter than both of these LEDs. I’m going to return these. They’re so dim I wonder if they’re working properly.

Junk (burned up my ballasts)

I bought 4 of these in 6500k (daylight) LED for my workshop. These are fluorescent replacements and are designed for ballast light fixtures only (fixtures that were originally designed for fluorescents). The first two burned out the ballast within 10 minutes of operation. I took the fixture apart and found the ballast circuit board fried. Suspicious of the bulbs I bought two non-ballast 5000K LED bulbs of a different brand and converted that fixture to non-ballast 5000K LED bulbs. I returned the...

Excellent light

I bought this to replace an old style tube light and they are fantastic. the light is bright and the were easy to change. I would definitely purchase them again.

Blew two ballasts before I stopped...

Had a burned out fluorescent bulb in a two bulb fixture. Thought this was a great upgrade, brighter LED bulbs! Put them in, they were nice and bright. Started to get rid of the other bulbs and thought I saw a flicker. Then the two LED bulbs just blinked off. No resetting them. I put the original bulbs back in and BOTH of them don't work now. Not just faulty... DANGEROUS!

DON'T BUY THESE!!! These led T8 tubes are faulty by design. I bought six of them at Lowe's and tried replacing conventional fluorescent tubes in sime of my shop lights with electronic ballasts. In several, they wouldn't come on at all. In some of them, the bulbs would light for a few seconds and then go out. But that's not the worst of it. In the units where they DID work, after several hours of us they overheated and burned out the ballasts. Lucky they didn't start a fire!

Many Bulbs Did Not Work

Bought 9 packages of these and only 4 packages worked. Tried different bulbs in same fixtures and some bulbs worked in any fixture and some bulbs worked in 0 fixtures. When they work they are great!
