Never used LED tubes in our garage before. These are brighter than daylight!! Love them.

Update your fluorescent tubes

Had to replace burned out fluorescent tube in garage, so discovered the LED replacements. I hate changing ceiling fixture fluorescents, so I hope these will be long lasting.

GE LED TUBES

Nice and bright at low clearance price. Plug and play. May not work with some ballasts especially older ones.

48" LED replacements for fluorescents

These Led replacements for 48" fluorescents are excellent. They will outlast the old type tubes by a long time. They worked fine with the existing T8 ballast in the light fixture, no problems, unlike the way some dimmers that are sold these days are supposed to be LED compatible but don't work with all LED bulbs.

They worked for a minute

First off, the ones I got, don't have the large plastic piece at the end that is shown in the picture, but the model number is the same. I got these to replace some old Phillips Alto II t8's that are in my kitchen. I have 2 fixtures. I installed the first set, turn the switch on and they worked! Turned the switch off and did the next fixture, Turn the lights on again and they worked! I was happy. But then, after about a minute, they all went dark. Easy replacement when it is just the tubes

installed 48" fluorescent fixtures in my barn 15 years ago. The lights are on 16 hours a day over the horse stalls and much less in the other area. Perfect Replacement For Standard Fluorescent T8

Great set of lights

Bought a 2 pack of these to replace the burned out fluorescents in the half bath. Great light output and come on with the flick of the switch. Getting ready to replace the 4 in the shop as 2 of them have died. This time I'm ordering 6 to have 2 extra for the kitchen.

Great bulbs

I have the t 8 ballast in my fixture in these bulbs are brighter then the t 8 I had in the fixture to start with. These bulbs are really great you can't beat them.

1 pack out of 4 worked

Purchased 4 packs yesterday (2 tubes in each pack). Out of 4 boxes only one pair of tubes worked. Basically, failure ratio is 75%. How is it even possible, GE? It is either, Lowes is selling defective and returned items or GE does not have any standard to what they manufacture and receive from China. Ballast compatibility is absolutely fine, it is tube bulb is a problem.

AVOID THESE THINGS UNLESS . . . !

Avoid these "Type A" LED tubes like the plague, unless you are absolutely certain that you have a compatible ballast in your 4' fixture! And good luck determining whether you have a compatible ballast, because when you go to the web site printed on the product packaging for determining compatibility, you get this "helpful" result: "PAGE NOT FOUND"!! I tried a pair of these LED tubes in one of my 4' fixtures - they did not come on at all. Useless. I then tried them in another fixture in a d...

Immediate Failure

Just purchased & installed 2 of these Leds in a T8 electronic ballast 2 bulb fixture. They turned on bright & then went dim. Replaced with a set of new flourescent T8 bulbs and they worked fine. Waste of time and 2 trips to Lowe's.

Dim

My husband bought these and took them back as they were not very bright. We thought the daylight ones would be, but he returned them and bought the regular fluorescent bulbs.

Didn't work

The bulb's came in a box that was previously opened. They wouldn't work in my fixture (and as the box was returned didn't work for the last buyer either). I bought a different brand from another store that worked fine.

High Failure Rate

Installed 8 of these in the garage to replace my F32T8 48” bulbs and within 4 days 4 of the 8 had failed. Replaced the failed led lights with fluorescent which are working fine. The house was constructed in 2009. Any ideas why these failed so quickly?

Not very bright

I bought these to replace the two fluorescent bulbs in my master closet. I was very disappointed to discover that these are not very bright at all. Just one of the fluorescent bulbs is brighter than both of these LEDs. I’m going to return these. They’re so dim I wonder if they’re working properly.
