What Customers Are Saying

Customers overwhelmingly praise the 10-year sealed battery design as the standout feature, eliminating annual maintenance and ladder climbing with a "set it and forget it" convenience that saves money over time. Installation is consistently described as simple and quick, with included hardware and clear instructions making replacement straightforward. Reviewers frequently call the product reliable and good value. However, a small group reports premature failures within months or years, with some units beeping low battery immediately after installation, contradicting the longevity promise. Despite these isolated issues, most customers consider it a worthwhile upgrade.

BRK Battery-operated Ionization Smoke detector

 Would Recommend

I purchased two of these Ionization Smoke detectors for my home. They were super easy to install, are extremely loud and the best part (my personal favorite), they have a sealed 10-year battery! NO MORE LOW-BATTERY Chirping NOISE. NO MORE changing 9-Volt batteries every 6 months, as most Battery-operated detectors recommend. These smoke detectors have a longer life expectancy than I probably have. Definitely recommend these.

I bought a 2 pack of these to replace 30 year old detectors; they were exactly the same size base, so no paint to touch up!

Great replacement or new. Smoke alarm only

 Would Recommend

This unit clearly states it comes with a 10 year battery. The base is slightly larger so you have to remove the old base and reinstall the new.
