Quality Equipment. I expect this gen to be fussy but rock solid. Indeed, it's hard to start. You have to cycle the starter for transitional starts. (Prime the lines) Long cycles with the starter will be common on this type of engine. However your suffering should be long lived with long service if you work it. Consider increasing the onboard battery amp hrs. More cranking needed so wait for it. Day 1, Updates at 30 and 180 days.

Product fine Lowes service terrible

I placed an order on sunday at 12.25 ready to pick up monday and package to ship to Jamaica on a cargo flight wednesday after the hurricane. $1800. After chasing it on tuesday as id heard nothing, it took me 3 calls to get hold of a guy called Ryan as the previous 2 callers hung up on me. Junk. Totally Regret Purchase

I purchased this to replace my old 20+ year old Troy Bilt 5500 generator to power my home during frequent California power outages. My Troy Bilt has no issues powering my home when used. A/C, Heating, all appliance work fine with the less power Troy Bilt. I purchased the Firman for an upgrade due to more frequent outages. Don’t buy this!

My generator would only run for 3 minutes and kick off. Without anything hooked to it. I called Lowe’s and they said I was over my 48 hour timeframe. I purchased it on a Monday and decided to hook it up on Thursday before my event a needless to say Lowe’s told me to call the manufacturer. I called them and they had me to trouble shoot it. And the lady tells me oh that,s the CO module gone bad.she told me to take it to a dealer and they would send me the part overnight. I was like lady this is br...

It was easy to order on line and pick up at Altoona Pa store. Generator runs well.

burns oil, shuts off every couple of hours

I was able to run two tanks of fuel through this machine before it would not restart. during these two tanks I had to go restart repeatedly because the CO detector shut it down even though it's in an open field with a light breeze. the reason it wouldn't restart is it was 3/4 of a quart down on oil.
