Shop power
Would RecommendWe bought this unit to have backup power to our home and to power my offroad shop while out was being built. I have run my vehicle lift, air compressor, and welders. I have close to 100 hours on it with no more than oil changes. It has powered the house through a transfer switch during storms and allowed me to work on my shop until I could get main power set up. It is heavy and loud, but very reliable. Have run on propane and gas with no issues. The electric start has been perfect, no issues. C...

Will Not Run
I bought this generator and it has never run. I called the help line listed on the generator and stated that there was no spark. They wanted to send me a spark plug under warranty. I told them that the problem was further up stream, that there was no spark going to the spark plug and the representative could not help. I have an expensive 250 lbs paper weight.

It’s very big and difficult to handle
Would Not RecommendI would return it to the store if I could. It hasn’t been used but it’s just too big and hard to handle.

Refused to stand by warranty
Would Not RecommendAfter our 2nd day of use the generator would shut off about every 2hrs. Called warranty because Lowes said they could do nothing. Warranty told us to tweak a voltage bolt. After this the generator quit working all together ( not even 2 weeks after purchasing) Come to find out a valve basically crumbled. Warranty states unit was abused. They never seen the unit just refused to stand behind over $1,000 piece of junk after on and off usage for not even 2 weeks. We've had 2 predators with ZERO issu...
RV Backup Power
Would RecommendI bought this to power my 40' 5th wheel RV. It runs everything on the rig including 3 AC units. I haven't tried to make it trip a breaker but if I ran everything including space heaters, microwave and hair drier it might trip. Easy 1st time setup, move with the included handle & wheel kit, is a bit loud but where I run it it's acceptable and the cover is a nice bonus.

Heavy Duty High Quality Gen
Would RecommendQuality Equipment. I expect this gen to be fussy but rock solid. Indeed, it's hard to start. You have to cycle the starter for transitional starts. (Prime the lines) Long cycles with the starter will be common on this type of engine. However your suffering should be long lived with long service if you work it. Consider increasing the onboard battery amp hrs. More cranking needed so wait for it. Day 1, Updates at 30 and 180 days.
We’re sorry to hear about your experience—that’s definitely not the kind of performance we expect from our generators. A no-spark condition can come ...
