Working with this device is very simple and good for me who do not do professional work.

I’ve only used it once but so far an excellent item. The only 2 downfalls are the dust collection doesn’t really go in the bag and the laser could be a bit brighter. Apart from those flaws, an excellent purchase.

exellent saw
i have only had the saw two weeks , the saw arrived the next day, was spot on out of the box, had a little truble with clicking the sliding arms in but the cutting was exellent

After much research I went for the R185SMS mainly as it is a very manageable size. This is my first mitre saw and it has helped with a couple of DIY projects already. I checked the setup out of the box and the blade was pretty accurate. The laser needed adjustment and instructions on how to do this were clear. However I now seem to have a 'phantom' laser line as well as the main one so maybe more adjustment needed? My only complaints so far (after two weeks) are that 1) the dust collection bag...

Efficient and lightweight mitre saw
The mitre saw has been extremely well used over the last few months. It works very efficiently with the laser guide being particularly helpful to ensure cutting at exactly the right point. The downside is that there is always the need to sandpaper the cut surface. I then bought a specific wood cutting blade which others commented removed this problem but it did not in my case. I purchased this specific mitre saw following a neighbour's recommendation and its light weight to easily carry to the ...

How do I rate the R185SMS Mitre Saw
I have never used this type of Power Tool before although having worked in the aircraft industry I had no problems regarding keeping myself safe. I built a workbench for my garage, which I completed with great satisfaction, and then continued by using it for a number of jobs that I had put off inside my property. This is a great tool for which I found was easy to use.

First rate.
Excellent - well designed and made (some clever detailing and finish) and excellent for the price. Not for very heavy everyday use but perfect for serious DIY or semi-pro. Beats the poorly made high street DIY chain offerings by miles.

Top notch
I bought this mitre saw after my old one burnt out. It was the best decision I made to purchase the R185SMS +-185 Sliding Mitre Saw 230V. Easy to assemble and easy to use . Top notch bit of kit.

I've used this for cutting flooring, skirting and timber for making cupboard shelving. Works excellently - was able to set accurate 45 degree mitres for skirting corners etc. Very much helped with saving time and effort in producing high quality work.

I haven’t used it very much but what I have done with it is excellent.

Great saw for the home DIY and Lockdown projects. Only 1 minor issue to improve
Saw was great. Saved me so much time and with the laser guide it proved it's worth. Only one criticism, the dust extraction system with either the included bag or using the hover attachment was as useful as a chocolate teapot. Unless you had an industrial strength vacuum it just does not work. Bad design. The dust is ejected to either side of the base and not directed upwards to the extract tube, even with a connected vacuum running. That said, that only flaw is not a deal-breaker.
