Ratings & Reviews for EGO POWERLOAD 56-volt 15-in Telescopic Shaft Battery String Trimmer 2.5 Ah (Battery Included) (Charger Included)

Decent trimmer but...

It's a decent trimmer but I just assumed that I could buy additional attachments for it. But EGO sells both types of trimmers...one that accept other attachments one that doesn't. So that's a bummer.

Extremely happy with purchase!

We bought this recently, and we’re extremely happy with it!! The battery finally lasts as long as I need to without having to replace it. And we love the auto feed function - that’s a huge benefit!! And the power is fantastic. Can’t be more happier with this purchase.

Battery seemed to die significantly quicker than advertised

Very impressed

So I have always been skeptical of battery powered tools but I must say EGO makes great quality yard tools and I will be buying more in the future!

Poor warranty

Stopped working after anly 2 years of light work and ego would not honor their warranty because I couldn't find my receipt

Worst Tool Bought

I bought the string trimmer with high expectations based ratings, but found it to be the wirst power tool I've ever bought. First, the hinged shaft is simply a packing decision not meant to be folded after every use. Second, the large and heavy battery doesn't keep it's charge as advertised. Instead of lasting 45 minutes run time, I was lucky if I got 20 minutes max at low speed. Needless to say, I returned it right away for a full refund.

Great purchase

Very happy with this purchase. Easy to load line and balance is good.

EGO tools rock

Both of my kids have had these tools for several years and they really like them. They said, Dad get these and stop messing around with gas and oil. I did and they were right. Way more power than I imagined.

Powerful

I was using a 20v battery operated trimmer and it didn't have the power to cut through the taller weeds without going over the same spot repeatedly. This thing is as powerful as a gas trimmer. Battery lasted longer than I did. I did about 30 minutes and there was still a little charge left. I originally bought the 23t with auto feed and a 4amp battery, but it had a bad battery and I decided I didn't need the auto feed. The 4 amp battery would have lasted a lot longer, but it made the tool a lot ...

Limited

This weed eater doesn't work with Ego's multi-head system.

Release of additional cutting line mechanism

I wish that this trimmer had a different mechanism to release more line other than tapping the trimmer head against the ground while the trimmer is operating. If you tap the trimmer head against the lawn, it will leave very noticeable uneven spots on your lawn. If you tap against the concrete, I think that the lower cover assembly of the trimmer head would wear out soon and must be replaced. Edging the lawn can be challenging requiring steady arms to maintain a straight cutting line since the...

Good product

Very good product. I wish a strap would come with the trimmer for older people as myself, but still gave a 5 star. Blower is strong for my needs. Would buy again if needed.
