Ratings & Reviews for EGO 56-volt 15-in Split Shaft Battery String Trimmer

This is my second EGO string trimmer. It is even better than my first. I had the first one for over ten years and must have just worn it out. Thanks for providing such a reliable product.

Jams

The string jams and I have to take it apart to free the string. I bought your snowblower and lawnmower and they are excellent. I am not too fond of the string trimmer. It wasn't a reload. It was the original manufacturers string when I bought it. That is why I have given it a 3-star rating.

EGO tools !

Hello. This is my 5th EGO product, and my 2nd EGO string trimmer. I switched from gas to battery tools in 2021, and as my existing tools get replaced I intend to purchase additional battery powered equipment from EGO ! I experience the ease of use, simple handling, the low noise, lack of a need for liquid fuel and very little to no need for lubricants.

Great battery trimmer

First time owning an battery trimmer. The EGO trimmer is powerful, easy to reload line and the battery charges quickly. So far works great.

Our electric scythe, knife of the gods: E*Go!

Our Power + Trimmer was a great value. It is relatively light weight making it easier to hold and edge our yard. The line advances easily and is easy to replace, which saves us time. In weed-eating mow it is a powerful beast chewing through the sunbaked vegetation of a hot Florida summer.

Not what I was expecting

Disappointed in this strong trimmer, yet it’s my fault for not paying closer attention to what I was purchasing. The power is below what I was expecting. The string doesn’t “feed” itself as advertised. I’m constantly having to restring it. Just very unhappy with this purchase, and that’s coming from someone who loves her ego mower.

Great trimmer

Replaced a gas trimmer. Overall performance was great, but battery lasting about 1.5 hours and needed to be recharged

Love Ego Trimmers--This is my third one!

I love my Ego trimmer so much at home that I convinced my place of employment to purchase one too when the need arose! Great battery life and ease of use--especially changing out the trim line!

Near impossible to reload

Worst trimmer in 45 years of home maintenance! Finally learned from AI to loosen screw head to allow spring to work better. Arrived with tangled string line. Must pry the head open with a screw driver every time I need to reload, then struggle to get the head to spin to load. Dirt collects and blocks the free movement of the head. Wish EGO would go back to a simple pop in string cartridge. SO sad my old died. THis one is horrible.
