Great for Quick and Light Duty Soil Work

We already own a heavy-duty gas powered tiller, but it can be a pain to use for small, quick, or light jobs. The Ego cultivator works great for these applications. I wouldn’t want to till a large, new bed with the cultivator, but it’s perfect for things like tilling compost into the top layer of soil. We already had the Ego edger multi-head accessory, so this was a no-brainer. The cultivator is definitely heavy, but that helps it do its work. We would buy again if we needed to.

Light and easy on-off of the attachment.

Works great with my existing EGO multi-head. Having a carbon fiber shaft helps keep the weight down. Has plenty of power to do the job in small area where bigger cultivators can't reach.

Ego cultivator review.

I bought the cultivator attachment for my ego powerhead to do the flower beds and that is basically what I consider its main job to be if you want to get the cultivator to cultivate hard packed soil you're really choosing the wrong tool it might do it but I wouldn't recommend it, it made short work of my flower beds, unfortunately as I mentioned in my other videos as well as this one when you go out to do work in the yard you actually don't think of videoing the actual work being done with ego t...

Weeds wrapped around it, but it was easy to clean!

What this product it really helped me break through the weeds. And also use it in raised garden bed that had weeds grow.

Reliable and able to cultivate 7,100 SQFT Lawn

Tilling Raised Bed Gardens

I use this small unit for tilling up raised bed gardens. My raised beds are 2-3 feet wide, not enough room for a big tiller. It works well with breaking up the soil in the spring and mixing in peat moss and mulch. It is a bit heavy with the battery weight and tries to pull you along with it. I installed a set of wheels up front which helps with both the weight and pulling force. It could use a drag bar designed into it to help with resisting the pulling force. Effective at loosening soil, including clay.

I bought this to try to help dig thru Georgia clay to plant some trees in my back yard. I was impressed with how well it did in digging thru the clay. The weight isn't at the moving part, so it is a little different than using cultivators that I have used before, the cultivator can sometimes pull up. By moving slowly I was able to keep the cultivator focused on the dirt I wanted loosened.

Surprising power, decent battery life, so much lighter than gas powered

Easy to use, great for raised beds

Brought this to till a raised bed garden (9 beds), and to replace a gas powered tiller that had a broken starter. The EGO cultivator attachment did a great job turning over the beds without the need to shut down and restart motor when I move between beds like the gas one. Just pull the trigger and you're tilling. The adjustable speed on the power head was useful at the edge of the beds. All in all was as effective as the gas tiller and much more convenient.
