Customer review summary generated by AI, including incentivized reviews.I really like the chain saw. Only thing I dont like about it ,is its very heavy. Heavier than the gas ones I have had for years. So far I would not take it back It cuts great !

Great chainsaw, very powerful
I bought this two times, and two times for my father in law, total of 4. The first one was last year and I was impressed how fast and powerful it is, the chainsaw is 18 inch but I cut a tree with 30 inch diameter. Had to cut from both sides. But it was smooth and easy. Very impressive.

I'm done with gas chainsaws for good!
Chainsaws with gas engines and I don't get along well. It's always difficult to either get them running or keep them running. Despite that, I was a little reluctant to get an electric chainsaw. Several years ago I purchased an electric chainsaw made by a different brand, and it was okay, but lacked the power I wanted. This EGO 18" chainsaw is incredible. It has just as much power as my gas saws, but without all the issues getting it and keeping it running.

As good as a gas powered?
Would RecommendI kept going back and forth as to gas powered or battery? I finally went for the battery power. This 18' saw worked great for my project. One cord of pine (16" at base, 4 trees) for firewood. That was with a 6ah battery it came with and a 4ah battey I already had. No problem with power and no worry if I am going to be able to get it started next time I pull it out.

Great Saw, would switch again
Would Not RecommendGreat cutting speed, I was able to complete cleanup after storm with single charge and lost count of the number of cuts, but it was allot of heavy branches and a tree that fell. A bit heavy with the large battery but not any more so than a equal size gas saw, and I didn't have to deal with gas can....

Beast!!
Would RecommendThing is a beast. Easy to adjust. Very strong. I cut down and cut up almost an entire crabapple tree before battery died. That’s ok though because I have 6 other ego batteries.
