The Ego 18" chainsaw provides impressive power and cutting speed, able to handle logs up to 18" in diameter with ease. It offers quiet operation and convenient features like automatic chain tensioning and a built-in LED light. The battery life is long-lasting, with the 5Ah and 7.5Ah batteries providing ample runtime. The lightweight and well-balanced design makes it easy to maneuver. While a few customers noted minor issues, the majority were extremely pleased with the chainsaw's performance and value.

Great saw that cuts very well. Battery life is good for me, typically 4-6 ah batteries are used when I am working. Saw is used around our property as well in disaster relief in our region and forest and trail management support. The only question I have is the chain tensioner - the plastic pins and thin metal plates appear to be a weak point.

18” Chainsaw
Would RecommendVery smooth cutting chainsaw. This unit outclassed my old 16” (its speed control electric module crapped out). It has more than enough power to cut through the large spruce trees that came down dining the wind storm we had here near Edmonton, Alberta.

Chain is too tight
I've only used the saw for maybe 20 minutes now, but so far, I'm loving it. It cuts great, and with an adequately sized battery is very powerful. The 2.5 AH battery works, but overheats on hard cuts. It's pretty heavy. With a larger battery its as heavy as my gas chainsaw, but I still like it a lot. I don't consider the chain tightening mechanism to be tool free. By itself, it tightens the chain WAY too tight! I put a screwdriver or something between the bar and the chain while using the tool...

18” Chainsaw review
Worked great on limbing many branches. Loved the freedom vs my old corded electric chainsaw. Taking the cover off to clean and then reassemble was fairly smooth. The power was surprisingly strong. Battery life was also surprisingly long. This is my fifth Ego tool.

Very Nice saw
Would RecommendI think this chain saw is great, If you know how to us a chain saw, you can make the batter work for you, the oil compartment doesn't leak like most. The oil isn't over done. The chain adjustment is very handy. Overall, very nice for moderate to light mid cutting.
