no warranty

ordered this saw on line because of the great price for saw, 5 Ah battery and charger. The box came in within 3 days and we picked it up, went home, opened the box and checked the serial number.....guess what battery, charger, and saw all dated Feb 2022!!! Unbelievable.....battery warranty is 3 years, saw warranty is 5 years, so battery and charger are already 2 years OUT of warranty, saw has a measly 5 months left. Returned it same day 09-23-2026. Now I know why the package price was so much...

Good Saw

Its heavy, but its a workhorse. Beats the heck out of having to pull start mess with a gas saw. Battery lasts a long time too, and I was using it to cut stuff way to big.

since my first Ego product (their leaf blower), i have been really please with all my Ego items (trimmer, blower, hedger, chainsaw, lighting & polesaw) and their chain saw is amazing! i really don’t feel like typing out a couple hundred words so ill just say this….you will NOT find a more easy-to-use, more reliable & more versatile tool line than with Ego products! CS1800 chainsaw

Purchased CS1800 from Lowes Dec 2025. Did not begin to use it until late April of 2026. I was using it on a felled tree trunk having about a 3 ft diameter. The battery would die out after about a half hour. And it would take about 3 hours to recharge fully. I did not see that as a show stopper but something I wish I had known before I bought it. Order Pick -Up

Ordered an EGO Chain Saw. At pick up the box was pretty beat up but the desk personnel said all was good. Kind of embarrassing to give a gift in that condition. A lot of clear tape used to keep it together. Opened it on Father's day and found that some of the internal packaging may be missing. Instructions, warranty etc. all missing. Will be returning today. 😒

Takes a licking and keeps on ticking

True story, my wife is coming up the driveway and ran over the saw trying not to hit my "limousine" aka zero-turn. Outside of a crack in the housing the saw works great. Got it in the fall of 25 to replace the blue battery saw that quit working after about 3 years. Plenty of power and battery run time for me. At 70, when the battery runs out it's time to sit down and rest while it charges.

Variable speed trigger takes some getting used to

Used the saw today to take down some trees in the 6" to 8" diameter range. Had great power for cutting trees down and cutting them all up into "firewood" length. Every bit as I would expect from a gas saw, but without the noise or the hard start. Not a fan of the variable speed trigger--I'm either cutting or I'm not, so the variable speed adds nothing to the saw's usefulness. All in all, it is a pretty good value.

I will never go back to gas again! I cut up one huge downed tree on 1 1/2 two point five amp hour batteries, love that I don’t have to pull my arm off to get it started. Probably did maybe 50 cuts very happy
